The Libyan Address | Albayda, Libya
Efforts to maintain security in the eastern city of Derna were discussed today during a meeting between the Interim Government Prime Minister Abdullah al-Thani and his Interior Minister chancellor Ibrahim Bushnaf.
The meeting discussed the challenges that face the interior ministry and its security bodies in Derna, and the means to provide these bodies with the needed support to be able to function properly.
Derna, which has been under extremist groups such as ISIS and al-Qaeda since 2011, was liberated last week by the Libyan National Army (LNA) of the internationally recognized House of Representatives.
