“Al-Gusri” Accuses GNA Defence Ministry Of ISIS Return To Sirte

Misurata – Mohamed Al-Gusri, the spokesperson of Al-Bunyan Al-Marsoos militia accused Ministry of Defense of the Tripoli-based Government of the Accord and the Presidential Council of the return of ISIS members to the Sirte.

“There are many reasons for the return of ISIS members to the area, the most important of which is the lack of support for the Sirte Protection Force and the lack of resources by the proposed Presidential Council,” he said in a televised interview.

“One of the reasons is the lack of support for Al-Bunyan Al-Marsoos, as well as the lack of salaries and lack of interest by the proposed Presidential Council.” He added, pointing out that the south and center of Libya is witnessing the return of elements of the organization. ”

“There have been proposals presented to the Presidential Council to support the building and launching of a new military operation to fight the fugitive members of ISIS to the southern region,” Al-Gusri said.

“The leadership of the US Africa Command – AFRICOM will be asked to cooperate with the Al-Bunyan Al-Marsoos in the operation if the Presidential Council approves these proposals,” he said.

It is noteworthy that Al-Gusri was recently promoted to the rank of “Major General” by Fayez al-Sarraj, head of the Presidential Council.
