LNA Allows The First Oil Tanker To Enter The Tobruk’s Hariga Oil Port

The Address | Benghazi – Libya

TOBRUK – An oil tanker was allowed today to enter the Tobruk’s Hariga Oil Port by the LNA Petroleum Facilities Guards. The tanker marks the first to enter the eastern oil port after LNA handed back control of the oil ports to the Tripoli-based National Oil Corporation earlier today, ending a three-week dispute amid corruption allegations.

The Tripoli-based NOC announced lifting force majeure on the ports of Ras Lanuf, Es Sidera, Zueitina, and Hariga. Libya’s oil production and export operations will return to normal levels gradually, NOC added in a press release.

Mustafa Sanalla, NOC chairman, welcomed the decision of LNA General Commander Gen. Khalifa Haftar, who “put Libya’s national interest above everything else”. Sanalla also thanked the House of Representatives, Presidential Council, Council of State, and the international community for “their efforts in resolving this crisis”.
