New Wards Opened At Al-Jalaa Hospital In Benghazi And Others Maintained

BENGHAZI – The city of Benghazi witnessed the opening of the Thoracic Surgery Ward at Al-Jalaa Hospital for Surgery and Accidents to start providing its services to the patients from Benghazi city and from outside.

On the other hand, the project of maintenance and development of operation wards at Al-Jalaa Hospital for Surgery and Accident was launched today. This ward suffered for many years from negligence and lack of periodic maintenance, causing the deterioration and decrease in the volume of services provided to the patients.

According to the media office of Benghazi Municipality, the opening of the Thoracic Surgery Ward and the launching of maintenance projects in the hospital announces in a small ceremony in the presence of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in the Interim Government of the Greater Benghazi Region, Dr. Nader Quiri, along with the Mayor of Benghazi Municipality Abdulrahman Alabbar, and Director of Al-Jalaa Hospital Dr. Khalid Al-Jazawi. Alabbar held a meeting where he discussed the difficulties that hinder the hospital’s functioning, including the lack of medicines and medical equipment, in addition to the occurrence of security violations that have been repeated in the hospital.
