The Address | Benghazi – Libya
BENGHAZI – Fathi al-Majburi, GNA Deputy Prime Minister, moved today to Benghazi and announced that he will no longer work from Tripoli, “under the mercy of militias and armed groups”, The Address sources confirmed.
After meeting with members of the House of Representatives, al-Majburi, said he feels “ashamed” to work under militas and armed group that impose their will on GNA officials.
On June 26th, a Tripoli armed militia tried to kidnap al-Majburi from his house in the Libyan capital. One of al-Majburi’s guards was injured during the attack and had to be taken to the hospital. Later, a close source from al-Majburi said he managed to escape the kidnapping and fleed to Tunisia just a few hours before the armed militant arrived at his house.
