40 Migrants Rescued Off Zuwara Shores

ZUWARA – 40 illegal migrants have been rescued in the Mediterranean Sea north of the Libyan town of Zuwara on Saturday, local sources told The Address. The migrants were rescued by the boat “Sabratha”, which is operating under the Tripoli Sector of the Libyan Coast Guard.

The migrants were 31 men, 8 women, and one child, mainly from Morocco, Egypt, Syria, and Nigeria.

The 40 migrants were handed over to the Anti-Illegal Immigration Authority – Tajura Shelter Center, after providing humanitarian and medical assistance to them.
