The Address | Benghazi – Libya
TRIPOLI – Adel Karmous, the member of the Tripoli-based State Council, said on Friday that the protests and demonstrations happening in Tripoli represent the people’s objection to the economic and service conditions in Tripoli, especially regarding the interruption of electricity.
Karmous said, in an interview with “Sputnik” Russian news agency, that everyone agrees on the inability of the Sarraj government to improve the situation that is going from bad to worse.
Karmous stressed the need for the government to assume the responsibility for the economic and service deterioration in the country since taking charge and until now.
It is noteworthy that the city of Tripoli witnessed several protests in most of the city areas that expressed their rejection of the poor public services.
Moreover, the Hay Al-Andalus Municipality called for a collective resignation of the GNA. The municipality said that they can no longer accept the difficult and tragic humanitarian conditions experienced by the citizens of Libya and Tripoli such as the cash liquidity crisis, the rising prices of goods, the lack of services, and the power outages that exceed more than 20 a day in some areas.
