LIBYA – El-Feel Field, which is located in onshore in Libya’s Murzuq Basin, resumed production after several months of closure, an engineer working in the field said on Monday. He revealed that production reached between 50 and 60 thousand barrels per day.
The engineer explained, in an interview with Reuters, that they are now filling the reservoirs first before starting to export oil at a later stage.
It is noteworthy that the Petroleum Facilities Guards, who used to secure the filed that is operated by the Italian company Eni, have stopped oil production to protest the delay in the payment of salaries in February after the field produced about 70 thousand barrels per day of crude oil.
