UN to Support Security Forces in Benghazi

The Director of Benghazi Security, Brig General, Salah Huwaidi discussed, with a security delegation from the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSML), aspects of security cooperation between the Directorate and the UN Mission.

According to the official Facebook page of the Interim Government Interior Ministry, Hewaidi stressed that the meeting aims to strengthening security capabilities and exchanging experiences through involving modern technology in the work of security bodies, adding that they are proceeding in the security work in Benghazi.

The security delegation headed by the Director of the Security Department in the mission, Saleem Raad, stressed that the support will be in form of a modern training program, which contributes to raising the security level and how security services deal with citizens.

It is noteworthy that the international delegation had met, two days ago, with the Mayor of Benghazi chancellor Abdel Rahman Alabbar where they discussed ways to provide security support from the UN Mission to the security authorities in the city.
