Muslim Brotherhood leaders in Libya preparing for elections

TRIPOLI – The head of the Tripoli-based State Council, Khaled al-Mashri, and the head of Civil Status Department, Mohammed Bettamer, held a meeting that falls within the increasing meetings of Muslim Brotherhood leaders to prepare for the upcoming elections.

The meeting was held at the headquarters of the State Council in Tripoli. The Media Office of the State Council said that it had come to inquire about the subject of fraud in the system of the National Number and the voter register. Bettamer said that work was under way to review and address the erroneous records in the system and that this would take twenty weeks until we can find out if it is completely free of inaccuracies.
