Individuals involved in shooting down LNA helicopter arrested

BENGHAZI – The General Administration of Criminal Investigation in Benghazi arrested four people involved in shooting down a helicopter of the Libyan National Army (LNA) in the oil ports area. It is mentioned that five pilots were killed in the helicopter crash.

The helicopter crashed early February in 2014 after being supplied with fuel from Sidra airport, Colonel Ali al-Sheikhi said at the time.

The helicopter crashed into the sea after being shot with an anti-aircraft gun, and the bodies of the pilots were not found.

The defendants, who worked for Ibrahim al-Jadran, admitted that al-Jadran was the one who ordered them to shoot down the plane.
