Dehiba-Wazin border checkpoint reopened

WAZIN – The Mayor of Wazin Municipality, Mohammed Sanam, confirmed the opening of Dehiba-Wazin border checkpoint with Tunisia and the return of road traffic between the two countries on a regular basis after three days of continuous closure.

Sanam said in a press statement that the opening of the checkpoint came after communication with the Tunisian side and the end of demonstrations and protests from the people of the Tunisian areas near the border checkpoint.

Sanam explained that things were going well, and the traffic on both sides had become normal. He added that during the first minutes after the opening, about 8 cars crossed through the checkpoint, pointing out that the road was secured after the end of protests on the Tunisian side.
