SRSG Salamé in a speech to the Libyan youth on the International Youth Day (Video)

TRIPOLI – Ghassan Salamé, Special Representative, Head of United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), called on Libyan youth to work towards a just and unified state that is capable of escaping the present reality towards a better and prosperous future.

Salamé said, a video statement published on UNSMIL website on the occasion of the International Youth Day, “since a year ago, I’ve been hosted by the Libyan people, and I have listened to the Libyan youth and seen with their eyes in the hope of the future, and the present”.

He pointed out that “the Libyan youth is right to lose patience, in light of the urgent need to legislator who writes and passes laws, especially in the case of weak services provided, and the lack of electricity, and the existence of unresolved issues, and problems of everyone, and young people in particular.
