BENGHAZI – The Interim Government announced on Thursday that Eid al-Adha holiday is five days from Sunday to Thursday.

The Government based its resolution on that having the holiday on Sunday comes in line with Law No. 5 of 2012 on public holidays, and pursuant to the provisions of Article 17 of the Executive Regulation of Law No. 12 of 2010 on labor relations granting work day leave between the weekend and public holiday, that it is deducted from annual leave.

On the other hand, Presidential Council of the Tripoli-based Government of National Accord (GNA) issued a resolution that the Eid holiday is only four days in all its institutions, bodies and public administrations.

The Council said on Thursday that the Eid holiday would start from Monday to Thursday.
