New airline joins the Libya-based airline companies

BENGHAZI – A new visitor has landed in the Benghazi Benina International Airport (BEN) today. It is the Rahila Airline, a local private airliner that is to join the Libya-based airline companies to cover the destinations most used by passengers in Libya, sources from BEN Airport told The Address.

According to private sources from Benina airport, the new guest airline, Rahila Airline, will start its flights to Benghazi Benina International Airport from its headquarters at Tripoli Mitiga International Airport in the next few days with an internal flight package in the beginning, and later, several international flights to most used destinations by passengers in Libya will be added. Destinations will include Tunis, Istanbul, and Alexandria at the beginning, as they experiencing increasing demand in the absence of adequate coverage by other local airlines.

According to its website, Rahila Airline is a newly established national company, first began their operation and services in 2015, it’s considered as one of the private aviation company in Libya. It operates the airlines business that transport passengers, goods, parcels and postal through air transportation via the major cities to the primary cities around the world.  From schedule flights to charter flights, through (Meitiga) Airport as the main hub for all flight routes.

Libya currently operates a group of local public and private airlines, namely Libyan Airlines, Afriqiyah Airways, Buraq Air, Libyan Wings, Ghadames Air Transport, according to the official website of the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
