AJDABIYA – Security forces at the al-Baydan Police Station arrested nine illegal immigrants yesterday southeast of Ajdabiya.
In an exclusive statement to The Address today, the director of al-Baydan Police Station, Lieutenant Colonel Mohammed Salem al-Fakhri, said that “the 9 Sudanese migrants were arrested while trying to cross the al-Baydan checkpoint of the police station.”
“They entered Libya from Egypt through smuggling and came from Tobruk to Ajdabiya with papers issued by the illegal immigration of Tobruk,” he said.
He pointed out that the investigation is ongoing with them and after the completion of the investigations, they will be referred to the Public Prosecution to complete the rest of the legal proceedings.
