“Youth of The Capital” Movement: Muslim Brotherhood and LIFG are trying to revive their influence in Tripoli

The Address | Benghazi – Libya

TRIPOLI – “Youth of The Capital” Movement capital considered that the escalating clashes in Tripoli and the emergence of Salah Badi, the prominent militant, in the scene again are only attempts by the Muslim Brotherhood and the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group (LIFG) to revive their influence within the capital and follow de facto policy on the pretext of protecting the people of the capital and providing security and safety as they claim.

“They have forgotten what they have done in the past from ruining the Tripoli International Airport back in 2014 and destruction and the many victims of the civilians they killed inside Tripoli,” YTC Movement said in their official Facebook page today.

“They are really trying to replicate the scene and extend their influence in the capital so that they can continue to implement their project and try to block the military establishment in the country.” They added.

“We are the residents of the capital of Tripoli. We are well aware of the reality of these militias and their deception. We refuse to involve the people of our cities in the war of interests and influence and the struggle of the militias. We support the establishment of a justice and equality state with its army and institutions that guarantee and protect the rights of its people to live with dignity.
