The Address | Benghazi – Libya

TRIPOLI – Charge d’affaires of the British Embassy in Tripoli, Angus McKee, said on Monday that his country supports the efforts of the United Nations, calling on all parties to communicate with the UN mission in Libya.

The United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) said it had invited various parties to an expanded meeting on Tuesday afternoon for an urgent dialogue on the current security situation in Tripoli at a location to be announced later.

Tripoli has been witnessing several days of armed confrontations led to the fall of a number of dead and wounded, especially civilians, due to firing rockets and indiscriminate shells in residential areas of the city.
