Interim Government MOI to remove random speed bumps from public roads

LIBYA – The Minister of the Interior of the Libyan Interim Government, Ibrahim Bushnaf, issued a decree to the regional security chiefs asking for the removal of random concrete slabs and speed bumps from all public roads and streets.

The decree, published by the MOI today, stated that this decision came after observing the increase of fatal and dangerous accidents due to these obstacles and bumps in the roads.

The Libyan Interim Government headed by Prime Minister Abdullah al-Thani administrates all regions under the Libyan National Army of the elected House of Representatives. This includes the whole of Cyrenaica, most of Fezzan, and several parts of Tripolitania.

On the other hand, the proposed Presidential Council administrates certain parts of Tripoli city and a number of cities and towns in Tripolitania region in the west in coordination with local militias and armed groups.
