TRIPOLI – Clashes and violent battles in Tripoli have been renewed at the Airport Road after a lull in the area for hours.

The clashes led to a fire in the vicinity of the US Embassy in the area of Sidi Salim. It was caused by the fall of a discriminate shell, according to press sources.

Tripoli has been witnessing violent clashes for ten days between the Seventh Brigade, on the one hand, and the battalion of Tripoli Rebels and the Central Support – Buslim (Ghnaiwa battalion) on the other hand, leaving dozens of dead and hundreds of wounded so far and causing the displacement of hundreds of families from the areas of the clashes.
