Seventh Brigade: The truce ended and did not work

TRIPOLI – Spokesman for the Seventh Brigade, Saad al-Hammali, confirmed the end of the truce with the Tripoli Rebels Brigades today, Sunday, September 9.

Hambali added that the Seventh Brigade had agreed to the truce in order to find a solution to the problem of militias and its withdrawal from Tripoli, but the truce did not work, as stated.

Families residing nearby areas of clashes need to leave without delay, he stressed.

The Dialogue Committee for the armed conflict resolution in Tripoli issued a statement on Saturday confirming the agreement of the parties to the conflict to continue their commitment to the cease-fire.

They met in Tripoli, indicating that they agreed to form a commission of inquiry and response to grievances and redressal, the Committee explained.

The parties to the conflict also agreed later on the agreement on the removal of heavy weapons outside the borders of Greater Tripoli, stressing the commitment of the security battalions in Tripoli to the reconcile regarding the return of the security arrangements.
