TOBRUK – Chancellor Aguila Saleh, the President of the House of Representatives condemned the terrorist attack that targeted the headquarters of the National Oil Corporation in Tripoli today, stressing that “the attack is an aggression against the all Libyan people.”
According to the media adviser of the presidency of the parliament, Fathi al-Marimi, Saleh said that the attackers are a primary enemy of all the Libyan people, and they must be fought and defeated through supporting the Libyan army, the police, and security and intelligence services.
Saleh called on the United Nations and the Security Council to lift their embargo on arms to the Libyan National Army that fights terrorism and already achieved successive victories despite the lack of resources.
He stressed that terrorism is a threat to all parts of the world, including neighboring countries and the Mediterranean Basin. “Unless we unite our efforts, the danger of terrorism will reach everyone without exception,” he said.
He called on the people of Libya to unite and reconcile for Libya in order to stabilize their country and strengthen the state of institutions and the rule of law.
