Tripoli-based Central Bank issues instructions to start procedures for householders’ grant

TRIPOLI – The Central Bank of Libya in Tripoli announced that its governor Saddek Elkaber issued instructions to commercial banks to start disbursing the grant of 500 US dollars per citizen, which would be added to the allocation of householders for the year 2018.

These instructions are part of the implementation of the economic reform program announced previously, which includes increasing the allocations of householders to $ 1,000 per year for each family member.

On Wednesday, head of the Presidential Council of the Tripoli-based Government of National Accord (GNA), Fayez Al-Sarraj, and the Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, Saddek Elkaber have signed a decree implementing the economic reform program, with the presence of chairman of High Council of State, Khaled al-Mishri.
