TRTIPOLI – On Tuesday morning, armed clashes broke out in Tripoli, on the Airport Road and around Khallatat street near Oil Tanks area, represented in an attack with heavy weapons led by Salah Badi, al-Somoud militia leader.

The clashes resulted in a large displacement of families in the areas mentioned.

It is noteworthy that the UN mission (UNSMIL) had met in the city of al-Zawiya with representatives of the Tripoli-based Government of National Accord (GNA), military commanders, security services and armed groups in and around Tripoli on 9 September, where they signed a cease-fire agreement and a formation of a monitoring mechanism and verification of the agreement.
