Indiscriminate shelling hits Electricity Network in Tripoli again

TRIPOLI – The 220 kV 220 kV, with a capacity of 100 MVA, transformer had been hit by a shell during the armed clashes in Tripoli, the General Electricity Company announced.

The transformer was re-maintained and operated after the cessation of clashes in the Capital during the last period, which led to forcing the operators to close the station and leave their work, resulting in terror and panic among them, and the company incurred significant material losses, the company said in a statement on Thursday.
