The Address | Benghazi – Libya

NEW YORK – UN Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres, expressed on Saturday concern about the increasing number of violations of the ceasefire agreement signed by the armed militias in Tripoli on September 4 under the auspices of his special envoy to Libya, Ghassan Salame.

The Secretary-General urged all parties to the conflict to respect the cease-fire and to refrain from any acts that would increase the suffering of the civilians, stressing that anyone responsible for violating the International Humanitarian Law and International Human Rights Law should be held accountable.
