German Ambassador commends courage of Tripoli residents

TRIPOLI – The German Ambassador to Libya, Oliver Owcza, praised what he described as the “courage and resilience” of Tripoli’s residents in dealing with the difficult security situation.

In a tweet via his personal account, the ambassador stated, “The courage and resilience of Tripoli civilian population exposed to ongoing hardships is impressive. Special praise to all those unseen men and women working tirelessly to ensure provision of emergency and basic services,”

Tripoli has witnessed deadly clashes between rival militias since August 26th, which resulted in the death of more than 100 people, while hundreds others are injured, displaced and missing.
