Macron: Militias destabilize Libya

The Address | Benghazi – Libya

NEW YORK – French President Emmanuel Macron said in his speech to the UN General Assembly on Tuesday that the situation in Libya allows “militias” and smugglers to destabilize the country.

Macron stressed the need to “respect previous commitments” by holding the elections at the end of the year in cooperation with the Arab League and the African Union to re-mobilize state institutions as he put it.
