TUNIS – Tunisia is ready to expand its partnership with Libya in the fields of power generation, railway construction and the launch of a free zone at Ben Gardane border town with Libya, Tunisian Prime Minister Youssef Chahed said on Thursday.
Chahed’s statements came during the inauguration of the first session of the Tunisian-Libyan Forum in Tunis, where he stressed his country’s efforts to expand cooperation with Libya, activate the previous agreements and revive the major projects between the two countries, especially as the Libyan side confirmed in the previous forum held in Libya on its support to Tunisia.
The forum aims to explore investment opportunities and trade exchange between the two countries for Tunisian and Libyan businessmen and investors.
It also witnessed the participation of a large number of businessmen and investors from both countries and concluded its activities on Friday.
