“UK is proud to contribute £1.5 million to increase Mine Action capacities in Sirte, Libya to help people return to homes, jobs and schools, and restoration of essential basic services”, the Embassy tweeted.
The city of Sirte suffers from the spread of mines and remnants of war in different locations, and also needs to conduct survey and combing operations, after the provision of equipment and detectors required.
