NATO renews its readiness to help build Libyan security institutions

BRUSSELS – NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg announced in a press conference following Defence Ministers’ meeting on Wednesday NATO readiness  to train Libyan military forces or units.

Stoltenberg that NATO – in the framework of dialogue with Libya – does not offer the training of Libyan forces, but is ready to help Libya to rebuild and rehabilitate its military and security institutions, specifically the Ministry of Defense and security services to support stability within the country.
