United States and Denmark support the strengthening of local electoral processes

TUNIS – The governments of the United States and Denmark announced their support to strengthen the electoral process in Libya during a signing ceremony held in Tunis to support the relevant Libyan bodies in the electoral process.

The Government of Denmark, through its Ministry of Foreign Affairs, will contribute $ 1 million to the activities of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in promoting Libyan elections and legislative powers.

The aim of the program is to increase the capacity of the Libyan Central Committee for Municipal Elections to support voter education registration, and to promote the participation of women and people with disabilities in the electoral process.
