NOC and Schlumberger agree to strengthen their cooperation

LONDON – Head of the National Oil Corporation (NOC), Eng. Mustafa Sinalla, met on Tuesday with the Chairman and CEO of Schlumberger (the world’s largest oilfield services company), Pal Kepsgaard, on the sidelines of the Oil and Finance Conference.

The two sides discussed ways to train engineers and technicians in the oil sector and strengthen their capabilities. It was proposed to establish a technical center in Benghazi and Tripoli, similar to the company’s centers in the Middle East.

The two sides also discussed the resumption of exploration operations in Libya by several international companies, where Sinalla made a detailed presentation on the work programs that the Foundation plans to implement next year, including drilling activities, completion of exploration and development and maintenance of wells.
