France contributes €650,000 to UN Electoral initiative in Libya

TRIPOLI – The French embassy in Libya announced in a statement on Friday a contribution of six hundred and fifty thousand euros to  the UN electoral project in Libya, which is entitled “Promoting Elections for the People of Libya (PEPOL)”.

Following the signing ceremony of the agreement between the French Ambassador Béatrice du Hellen and the Director of the UN Development Program Office in Libya, Sultan Hajiyev, the French embassy elaborated that “this extra support comes in addition to the €200,000 signed in December 2017, bringing the total French contribution to €850,000 ($1 million).”
