The Address | Benghazi – Libya

ROME – Italian Prime Minister, Giuseppe Conte, said during the inauguration of the fourth edition of the Lega political school on Sunday that the Italy-hosted conference on Libya will emphasizes his country’s international presence but “without any neocolonialist ambition” as he put it.

“Italy must play a role on an international level”, he said while adding, “in November we organize a conference for Libya, we want to give a signal of great attention even at an international level… without any neocolonialist ambition, but to emphasize our proud presence also in the international field”.

Italy is planning to host a conference on Libya in the Sicilian capital Palermo on November 12-13.
