In solo meetings… Salame discussing latest developments with al-Mishri, Sarraj and Bashagha

TRIPOLI – The Special Representative of the Secretary-General for the United Nations, Ghassan Salame, and his Deputy for Political Affairs, Stephanie Williams, discussed with the Head of the State Council, Khalid al-Mishri the latest developments in the economic reforms program and ways of enhancing them.

The two sides reviewed on Tuesday the progress made so far and emphasized future priorities, as they discussed the latest political developments in the light of the Council’s previous meeting on the proposal of the Parliament Dialogue Committee regarding amending the articles on executive authority in the political agreement.

Salame and Williams also met with the Head of the Presidential Council of the Tripoli-based Government of Natioan Accord (GNA) Fayez al-Sarraj to discuss the latest political developments and the next steps in the economic reform program.

Salame and Williams listened to the vision of the new GNA Interior Minister Fathi Bashagha on the work of the ministry and discussed the next steps to implement the security arrangements in the capital.
