LNA spokesman reveals details of al-Foqha terror attack

BENGHAZI – Spokesman for the General Command of the Libyan National Army (LNA), Brigadier General Ahmed Al-Mesmari, said that the terrorist organization ISIS attacked the city of al-Foqha, 200 kilometers south of the city of Sukkah on the road between Al-Jafra and Sabha area, on Sunday at 11:30 pm.

“The attack resulted in four martyrs and 10 missing people who are likely to be kidnapped by terrorists,” he said on his official Facebook page.

Al-Mesmari also said that the city police station was burned along five houses and three cars. He added that after the arrival of Battalion 128 and the Battalion of Protection and Insurance in the central military area to the city, the terrorists went south and attacked the gate of 400 where one of the soldiers was killed and another was wounded.

He explained that the attack comes within the framework of terrorist operations carried out by terrorist gangs from time to time targeting safe cities and villages as well as security and military gates.
