The Address | Benghazi – Libya

MANAMA – United States Secretary of Defense, James Mattis, announced on Sunday, during his participation at the International Institute for Strategic Studies Manama Dialogue, the return of US ambassador to Libya, Peter W. Bodde, whom was in the United States regarding a family situation.

“He is back. We are working with especially our European and North African partners on the Libya situation and we’ll continue to do so.” said Mattis.

Speaking about Libya, Mattis said that “we’ve got to find a way to put an end to the conflict” but added that he does not have “any good ideas on that one right now, but I think the right people are working it, to craft what the framing principles should be as we go forward.”
