RABAT – UN special envoy to Libya Ghassan Salamé reiterated, on Monday in Rabat, his commitment to continuing consultations with Morocco on the Libyan crisis, according to the Moroccan Ministry of Culture and Communication.

In a joint press briefing with Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita, the UN official stressed that his visit to Rabat is the perfect opportunity to consult the Moroccan side on “how to benefit from the next stages in the service of stability in sister nation Libya,” said the Ministry.

The last few months were marked by serious incidents in Libya, mainly the oil crescent, the expansion of terrorist activities in some areas, including Tripoli, and the clashes that threatened stability in the capital last September, the Ministry quoted Salamé.
