NOC discusses efforts to free kidnapped employees with Romanian Consul

TRIPOLI- Chairman of the Tripoli-based National Oil Corporation (NOC), Mustafa Sanalla, met on Monday with Romanian Consul to Libya, Adrian Brâncoveanu, to discuss measures undertaken to free Akakus employees previously kidnapped at Sharara.

Parties discussed the latest developments regarding the Romanian citizen Valentin-Laurentiu Puscasu, and his Libyan colleague, Ashraf Msallam, taken from the Sharara oil field on July 14, 2018, by an unknown armed group.

Brâncoveanu highlighted areas of joint cooperation and means of strengthening the bilateral relationship, while also praising efforts made by NOC to maintain production rates, in spite of challenging circumstances.
