Misurata delegation arrives to Rome from Paris

The Address | Benghazi – Libya

ROME – Italian newspaper La Stampa reported that the delegation of the Libyan city of Misurata arrived in Rome on Friday, from Paris where they met with French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian.

According to the newspaper, the movement of the Libyan political/military delegation from Paris to Rome refutes what is being circulated about the lack of cooperation between France and Italy in the Libyan dossier.

The newspaper spoke of cooperation on a “daily level” between Italian and French officials, citing a meeting last Tuesday between high-level officials of the French presidency and their counterparts from the Italian side on the Libyan dossier.

The head of French diplomacy will represent his country at the Palermo conference on Libya, which will kick off on Monday.
