Conti: We expect Haftar to attend Palermo conference

PALERMO – Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte on Monday expressed his expectation that the General Commander of the Libyan National Army (LNA), Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, will participate in the two-day Palermo conference on Libya.

Italian officials had sought to ensure the presence of Marshal Haftar in conference, however, some sources said that he will not attend.
