The Address | Benghazi – Libya
TOBRUK – A number of the House of Representatives (HoR) members condemned on Monday the UN envoy Ghassan Salame’s briefing to the UN Security Council on HoR..
Forty members of HoR said in a statement that Salame tried to distort the legislative authority, the only legitimate legislative authority elected by the Libyan people, and ignore the role of HoR members despite their efforts to get the country out of the crisis in the shadow of political division.
The members wondered about the lack of Salame’s commitment to neutrality, in accordance with the principles and charters of the United Nations General Assembly, and his bias towards one party.
They called on HoR Presidency to include an item on discussing the abuse on the agenda of the next session.
