The Address | Benghazi – Libya
PALERMO – General Commander of the Libyan National Army, Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, left the city of Palermo Tuesday morning after the end of the security meeting on Libya.
The meeting discussed security, combating terrorism and illegal immigration. It was headed by Italy’s Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte and was attended by General Commander of the Libyan National Army, Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, the Russian Premier Dmitry Medvedev, the President of Egypt Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, the President of Tunisia Beji Caid Essebsi, Algeria’s Prime Minister Ahmed Ouyahia, the President of the EU Council Donald Tusk, the French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian.
Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), Ghassan Salamé, and chairman of the Presidential Council, Fayez Al-Sarraj, were also present.
