Williams meets with Libyan female parliamentarians and activists on the sidelines of Palermo conference

PALERMO – Deputy Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), Stephanie Williams, met on Tuesday with Libyan female parliamentarians, ministers and civil society activists on the sidelines of the Palermo conference.

According to UNSMIL, Williams affirmed UN commitment to ensure full participation of women in all political processes, including the Libyan National Conference (Al-Multaqa Al-Watani) which was proposed by Head of UNSMIL, Ghassan Salamé, at the Security Council last Thursday.
