UK signs a memorandum of understanding for security cooperation with GNA

TRIPOLI – British ambassador to Libya, Frank Baker, met on Thursday with Interior Minister of the Tripoli-based Government of National Accord, Fathi Bashagha.

During the meeting, Baker and Bashagha signed a memorandum of understanding for security cooperation between the Criminal Investigation Department of the Ministry of the Interior and the British Anti-Crime Agency.

According to a statement the Tripoli-based ministry, “the memorandum of understanding included development of work mechanisms of the Libyan Criminal Investigation Department through training courses, and support Libyan capabilities to combat crime through the use of modern technologies and systems.”
