Expectations: Libya will be exempted from OPEC cuts

The Address | Benghazi – Libya

VIENNA, AUSTRIA – Libya is exempted from OPEC cuts that the intergovernmental organization currently discussing with oil producing countries, the World Oil newspaper expected.

The newspaper quoted Mustafa Sanalla, the Chairman of the Tripoli-based National Oil Corporation, saying that the recovery of the oil sector in Libya is in the interest of oil producers in the world.

OPEC has exempted Libya from cut production in 2017 because of the difficult security situation in Libya and the decline in production levels at the time.
