Italy: competition with France is a normal thing and Libya’s stability is a common goal

The Address | Benghazi – Libya

ROME – Italian Foreign Minister Enzo Maviro Milanese denied any dispute with France over the common goal of stability and democracy in Libya.

“Even in an integrated framework such as the EU system, competition among member states is normal,” Mavero said in an interview with the Avenir newspaper on Thursday.

“For Libya, I do not see a fissure in positions with France on the common goal of finding a solution to stability and democracy. However, it is normal that each of us tries to play a bigger role in Libya,” he added.
