UK’s ambassador to Libya condemns “brutal” attack on Tazirbu

TRIPOLI – British ambassador to Libya, Frank Baker, condemned on Saturday the deadly terrorist attack on Friday which took place in Tazirbu, an oasis located in the Libyan Desert in the Kufra District.

Baker stated via Twitter that he “strongly condemn brutal attack on Tezirbu – our thoughts are with the victims and their families. Call for the immediate release of those who have been abducted.”

Local authorities said terrorists affiliated with ISIS attacked a police station in Tazirbu on Friday. The attack resulted in at least eight civilians killed, nine injured, three abducted and nine still missing and believed to be kidnapped.
