GNA’s Education Minister and Canada’s Ambassador discuss issues facing Libyan scholarship students

TUNIS – Education Minister of the Tripoli-based Government of National Accord (GNA), Othman Abduljalil, met on Friday evening with Canada’s ambassador to Libya, Hilary Childs-Adams, in Tunisia to discuss issues facing Libyan scholarship students.

According to a statement by GNA’s Ministry of Education, the meeting discussed “the possibility of activating scholarships for North American countries to complement the ministry’s program in the field of post graduate studies abroad.”

For her part, Childs-Adams “welcomed the fruitful cooperation with the Ministry of Education and stressed that the embassy will be a real supporter of the Ministry’s reform project in the issue of scholarship abroad by facilitating all procedures for the Libyan students in obtaining visas after setting the appropriate mechanism with the Ministry.”
